I have yet to find a sound that I appreciate more than the sound of a child's laughter. The only person who could possibly remain unaffected by the glorious music of innocent giggles, would have to be a robot.
And one of the absolute best parts about finding yourself lucky enough to be in the presence of such a golden sound, is that you can't help but crack a smile yourself. In fact those glorious giggles are so contagious, it's almost guaranteed that within seconds you'll be struck with a case of full-blown laughter yourself.

You are right, Jessica, there is something about those giggles that just delights one's heart. Baby giggles are the best, but a good sincere wholesome belly laugh from anyone is a joy to hear. Good 'G' word. God bless, Maria from Delight Directed Living btw, I have got to go look up what kholorabi is.
ReplyDeleteI agree a good belly laugh from anyone is contagious! :) a kohlrabi is delicious, it kind of tastes like a cross between a turnip and a cabbage.
DeleteYep, laughter is the best medicine, they say :)

I agree. I've even read that if you're in a bad mood, if you smile despite the grumpy blues, it will help lift your mood.
DeleteThere is NOTHING like a baby laughing to put a smile on my face.
ReplyDeleteFor me it's the best sound in the world :)
DeleteWhenever I am sad, I am cheered up when I get to visit a friend's baby. You just can't stay sad for long around a baby giggling! Great post!
ReplyDeleteI agree. :) I hope you have lots of friends with babies you can visit.
DeleteTotally, utterly, whole-heartedly agree, Jessica.
ReplyDeleteI dream of a life filled with laughter, as I was blessed with so easily as a child with some of the funniest siblings on the planet.
Even thinking about laughter and fun times is fantastic to me, thanks for the reminder :)
:) If only things were just as amusing for adults as they are for children. The world would be a happier place. :)
DeleteBaby laughs are the kind you just want to bottle up and let loose on a cloudy day - love them! Their laughter is never forced, fake or done with malice. So genuine. What a wonderful post. Happy A to Z-ing!

I agree. I wish I could bottle baby laughter. :) If we could find a way, we'd be kazillionaires.
DeleteYep, I couldn't agree more!
ReplyDeleteI'm following your blog
Thank you so much for the follow. :)
DeleteNicely put and to the point! Just seeing a smile on a baby or child's face is enough to get you laughing with joy. :) Writer’s Mark
ReplyDeleteIt certainly does lift one's mood. :)
DeleteVery true. Great thought for "G"!

Thanks. :) Thanks for stopping by and having a read.
DeleteThere is such joy in a child's laughter, so pure and true. You are right, we just have to break out in one big smile. And I am so sorry about your misadventure on the Greyhound bus. I hope the woman was kicked off the bus.
ReplyDeleteSmiling is one of the most important things to do in a day. :) The Greyhound misadventure simply left me with a funny story to tell. The woman wasn't kicked off the bus. We were told by the bus driver that one of us had to get off and she chose to leave. Funny enough the overhead compartment door fell off and clunked her right in the head before she left. I've NEVER seen one of those fall off. Hmm, funny how karma works. :)
DeleteChild laughter is the best, best medicine.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the bus situation. That woman sounds like a mess.
Silvia @ Silvia Writes
She certainly was a mess. It's not good for anyone to be so angry, and over nothing. I felt sorry for her, and her poor daughter. The woman was so busy focusing on me, her little girl was sleeping and nearly rolled off her seat and onto the floor. :(
DeleteIt's so true! Of course there's the moment at which the laughter turns maniacal and you begin to wonder if someone will die. Or at least, that's the problem we face in this house. Maybe there are too many little laughing bodies.
ReplyDeleteAww, I love the sounds of that 'too many little laughing bodies' and maniacal laughing. :)
DeleteI definitely smile when I hear a child's laughter. It's so pure.
ReplyDeleteThere certainly isn't anything like it. :)
DeleteOh yes ... the giggle IS the best sound ever. :)
ReplyDeleteAgreed. :) Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteOne of my favorite things about teaching is the laughter! One of my favorite sounds, too :)
ReplyDeleteAww, you're so lucky. You must get to hear wonderful giggles every day, and at work even. :)
DeleteA child's laugh is truly infectious!! Fun topic! Happy A-to-Z 2013! ~Angela, Whole Foods Living, http://www.wholefoodsliving.blogspot.com/
